It must be the start of 2015, because it looks like the definitive awards show is back!
Yes, it's time again to add another set of fantastic films (And 300: Rise of an Empire) to the lengthening list of films lucky enough to call themselves Owen Award nominees. Last year, The World's End (Wins for Best Screenplay, Best Actor, plus five further nominations) and Frances Ha (Wins for Best Actress, Best Picture, plus three other nominations) were the big winners, so who will follow in their footsteps this year?
The only change to the categories this year is the removal of 'Best Actor in a Bad Film', which just wouldn've been won by Martin Freeman for The Hobbit for the third year running and would get boring. Besides, it's a really weird category, so we gutted it. There are six nominees in each field, including Best Picture, and all are listed below...
