US Presidential Election Movie Pitches

PROPOSAL #1: The Caucus and the Hare
Childrens' animation
Starring Jim Carrey, Harry Hill
Directed by whoever directed the Ice Age sequels

A loveable animation full of family-centric fun, from the people who brought you Ice Age and Robots. Once every four years, the animal kingdom come together to watch as the greatest representatives of two great opposing tribes, the Republicans and the Democrats, stand against each other to see who gets to rule the animal kingdom. The kingdom is currently ruled by Obama (Carrey), a kindly and well-humoured dolphin. However, when lively young upstart Romney (Hill) is chosen to oppose him, the campaign race soon descends into chaos. Romney is a notorious cheater and loves to bend the rules, and, soon enough, what was once an election literally turns into a mad dash to the White House! Crazy fun for kids and grown-ups alike.

PROPOSAL #2: Class Campaign
Tween highschool comedy-drama
Starring Anna Kendrick, Selena Gomez, Josh Hutchinson
Directed by Mark Waters

A laugh-riot with it's heart in the right place, Mean Girls director Mark Waters returns to highschool with this hilarious teen comedy! The role of class president is, in Lazy Name High, the highest honour there is. This is where the wheat is separated from the chaff. The capable from the incompedant. The popular kids from the nerds. And no girl is more popular than the ultra-rich Michelle 'Mitt' Romney (Gomez). Having brushed aside token smart kid (Played by an unknown who'll never be heard of again), she assumes that not just the role but, finally, the heart of the totez gorge Soccer-playing dreamboat Chad (Hutchinson) will be hers. However, plucky young upstart Barack Obama, or Becky for short, (Kendrick) has other plans, and sets about to use her wits and her courage to bring about a new age of classroom rule! Side-splitting comedy from at least one person involved in the making of Juno.

PROPOSAL #3: The Infinite Political Spectrum
Quirky Romcom
Starring Bill Murray, Danny Glover
Directed by Wes Anderson

The man behind the much-acclaimed Moonrise Kingdom and Fantastic Mr Fox directs a unique take on
the life of a politician, if their life comprised of lots of long, lingering shots. Barack Obama (Glover) is a delusioned politician, starting to lose his way with the world after four years in office. Slowly reverting to a child-like state, it takes well-spirited rival Mitt Romney (Murray) to reinvigor his love for Politics, and to rekindle his passion for life- The kind of warmth and love that got him into the White House in the first place. A film with an unresolved sexual tension, The Infinite Political Spectrum is just your favourite Wes Anderson film, only now set in the White House.

PROPOSAL #4: Campaign Trail
Action Thriller
Starring Denzel Washington, Matt Damon, Benedict Cumberbatch
Directed by Luc Besson

Campaign Trail is the latest original movie idea from the never-stopping originality factory that is Taken creator Luc Besson. When the keys to the White House are stolen by the meddling British Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg (Cumberbatch) just days before the close of the election campaign, the Democrat party find themselves with a masterstroke campaign idea- To send incumbant candidate Barack Obama (Washington) on a solo mission to track down the keys himself! However, when the Republican Party gets wind of this, they themselves send their main man, Mitt Romney (Damon) on a mission of his own- To stop Obama at all costs and retrieve the keys himself! The pair have to not only avoid the death traps coming from Clegg but also each other, as Politics is reduced to a matter of life and death. Explosive thriller based on a true story.

PROPOSAL #5: Primary
Exestential thriller
Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine
Directed by Christopher Nolan

Another mind-bending thriller from the genius behind Memento and Inception as well as the Dark Knight trilogy, Christopher Nolan. Obama (Gordon-Levitt) is a man who sits in his chair in the White House and thinks he has achieved all there is. However, as he enters his latest presidential race, looking to retain office, Obama finds unable to focus on the present moment in time, instead constantly going into flashback so the whole film appears out of order and we can be really shocked by a clever twist at the end that was only a twist because of the way the film was made. The whole time, however, he has opposition from the much-feared governor of Massachusetts, Romney (Caine) bearing down upon him. Can Obama remain sane? Undeniably intelligent blockbuster filmmaking from the current king of Hollywood.

PROPOSAL #6: The Muppets' Election
Puppet-based family comedy
Starring the Muppets
Directed by whoever made this years' Muppets movie

After the successful return to form of the Muppets after almost a decade's big-screen hiatus, The Muppets' Election lets the trademark wit of Henson productions loose on the subject of political satire. A successful president in his own right, Obama (Kermit the Frog) wants nothing more than another term in office, and his dedicated wife Michelle (Miss Piggy) knows this better than anyone. Nobody has worked harder than Kermit for four years, yet millionaire buisinessman Romney (Gonzo the Great) is determined to bring him down. The hilarious campaign sees such comic highlights as debates chaired by Beaker, discussions on foreign policy with Lew Zealand and a nightmarish media trip to a cooking show starring the Sweedish Chef. Sam the Eagle features prominently in this follow-up to the Owen Award-winning 2012 reboot.

PROPOSAL #7: The White House at the End of the Street
Classic Monster-based Horror
Starring some pretty young girl, another pretty young girl
The director is irrelevent, this is produced by Hammer Horror

Prepare to feel the true nightmare of the campaign in this chilling new horror from the makers of the Woman in Black! After the messy divorce of her parents, a young, unassuming, but rather attractive young girl named Mitt (a young, unassuming, but rather attractive young girl) finds herself moving to Washington DC, where she quickly begins to make friends. Mitt is shocked to discover that her new best friend is none other than President Obama daughter! However, when a disaster strikes the nation, and her friends dad is transformed into a nasty monster of some description, and the two of them find themselves alone, trapped inside the White House with this beast, it's up to Mitt to single-handedly track down the monster and kill herself, before it's too late... Teriffying new monster movie from producer Tim Burton.

PROPOSAL #8: The Final Straight
Heartwarming sports drama
Starring Noel Clarke, Gary Oldman
Directed by Regan Hall

The director and star/co-writter of smash-hit British sporting drama Fast Girls team up once more for an inspirational film that might break the American market this time. Experienced runner Barack Obama (Clarke) is the undisputed king of the road. For all his life, he's been finding ways to get faster and faster, probably trying to get away from his disruptive family- his goat farming dad in jail and his mother forced to abandon him as a child. However, when millionare Mitt Romney (Oldman) wants in on the sport Clarke has made his own, finding technological ways to turn his money into tricks to shave off seconds, Barack finds himself searching for himself, and searching for the drive that got him so far with so little. Heartwarming drama that'll have you skipping out of the auditorium.
