It's that time of year again! The most prestigious awards show in the world. The thing all filmmakers and actors aspire to. The Grand Owen Awards return for 2015!
Last year, Boyhood took home the big prize, Best Picture, as it really cleaned up, netting a record four awards from it's six nominations. However, 2014 also saw 12 Years a Slave go home empty despite also getting six nominations. This year, we have a fantastic line-up. For the first time ever, two-time winner Jake Gyllenhaal fails to net a nomination in the lead actor category, despite strong turns in Enemy and Southpaw. Michael Fassbender draws alongside him with his third nomination in two years, while, between writing and acting, Greta Gerwig becomes the most-nominated individual in Grand Owen Awards history.
